cheating and lying.
To forgive someone means to let go of any resentment towards the person.You can forgive a person and still be wounded by him/her.you don't have to forgive a person immediatly just until you are ready.

I think you can forgive anything, but just because you've forgivven someone, doesn't mean that you'll forget what they did.

I kinda agree with both, a7la daloo3a and hanoona.

Personally, I won't forgive someone who hurts my beloved ones or someone who cheats.

Other times, I would forgive but that doesn't mean I forgot.

When u forgive someone who has done somthing real bad to u, it helps u become a stronger person,and u'll be more conscious in the future

you are right - hanoona - because it is the hardest to forgive those who hurt you the most ( since you care about the most ) it does make a stronger person - it is easier said then done though - it takes time

I ve was one of those that found it hard to forgive - i just didnt want to bother - so I take the easy way out and let go of those people - until one day , I found myself the one needing that forgiveness

Forgiving someone will definitely make you stronger. But NOT forgiving someone (if you know that person is untrustable and might do something bad to you again) will also make you stronger for not getting fooled twice.

But forgiving someone doesnt necessarily mean you trust them ....So how could you get fooled again?

Why forgive someone you can't trust? In my book: Forgiving someone + Not trusting them is same as Not forgiving them. Othewise what's the point of being with someone you can't trust? It'll be a lot of drama and waste of time.
If you want to forgive and not trust, then you should never be with that person again. Remember the saying "Once a cheater is always a cheater".

It all depends on the crime of other person, of course, and depend on how much you're at fault. I am with you on forgiving because everybody deserve a second chance, and I am so for second chances because we're all humans and we all make mistakes, but some mistakes are unforgivable low acts.

And believe me, those who believe they could not get fooled again, do get fooled.

That is not always tru bravados...... If someone did somthing bad to me, trust is not going to be the only issue I'm dealin with. I 'll probably feel hatred toward that person and want to get revenge. But if I forgive that person, than it means that my heart is cleansed from the hatred and bad feelings towards him or her.

Even if your heart is cleansed, usually women who forgive, will not forget.

but that is not the point....forgivness does not imply trust, or forgetting
If someone killed my dad for example and i forgave him/her....i would let
them go free, without revenge or jailtime or anything, but i still could never forget what he/she did

That's what I've been saying! You would forgive them and let them go free, but never forgive them and let them back in your life.

if you love a person enough, you woud refuse to think about it. so time wil pass by and it will be a faint memory, because better memories will replace the ones you don't think about. you probably won't remember it until something trigers it. idk if im making sense lol. it's hard to put into words.if you love somebody enough you will let you'r wounds heal.

I agree but I also feel that it takes courage to forgive someone but that "foregiveness is also earned"... you dont just give it away freely... just like trust ..

If there is love.. there is always forgiveness
because love is stronger than anything and can stand up to face anything.
